The ring shape body was not possible with an ultra-thin worm, combined with a body structure with a hole that guides the hook and toughness material that is resistant to tearing. While it's a natural swimming action, the deep ribs on the surface of the body grasp the water and give it a moderate presence that appeals to the target fish.
The synergistic effect of "material softness" and "thinness of the shaft" make it easy to bend and the round cross section shape is flexible to adapt to attacks from any direction, and it has an excellent hookup rate.
